The process of register OpenName TLD will be incredibly smooth.

1.In the OpenName DApp, click on the green wallet icon in the upper right corner, as shown in the below image. After clicking, you will be prompted to select the target network for registering the domain name.

2.After the above step, you will see that the green wallet icon in the upper right corner has changed to a circular icon, indicating that you have successfully linked your wallet to the OpenName DApp. You can choose to register Domain or TLDs

3.[Domain]You can then enter the domain name you like in the search box. Because OpenName supports many TLDs, many TLDs options will appear in the drop-down list below the search box after you type the domain name. Select the TLDs you want, and a pop-up window will appear at the bottom displaying the registration fee, registration time, gas fee, etc. Then click “Register”.

[TLDs]You can then enter the TLD you like in the search box or select the OpenName recommendation.

4.You will then be prompted to “Request to sign the data”. Click “Confirm”, and then a pop-up window will appear asking you to enter your wallet account password. After entering your password, click “Confirm” again.

5.After successful registration, return to the OpenName DApp interface and click on the circular icon in the upper right corner. You can see the domains/TLDs you have registered and owned in “My Names” or “My TLDs”.

FAQ

Which public chain addresses can be used to register domain names?

Currently, you can use ETH / Optimism / ARB / BSC / Polygon / zkSync /Base addresses to register domain names. After visiting OpenName, simply connect your MetaMask or TP wallet to start the registration process.

Why do I see the message "Invalid content" during registration?

To prevent sensitive terms and fraud, we have imposed some restrictions. Certain character sets cannot appear together in an account name. For detailed rules, please refer to: Character Sets.

Will the registration fee be refunded if registration fails?

Yes, it will be refunded minus gas fee. The fee will be returned to your wallet address in the same manner.
